So, I just found your LJ because I was looking for podfics to stock up on in preparation for a drive from Nashville to Los Angeles. I haven't actually listened to any yet, but I'm excited!

And I just want to say I'm even MORE excited that you're doing Building Jerusalem, because that's absolutely one of the best fics I've read, in pretty much any fandom. But it's a beast, and so intense, and I totally understand how it would be an extreme challenge to record - and will take a lot of time and energy!

I just wanted to encourage you as you work on it - however long it takes, I at least will be looking forward to the product of your hard work. What a worthy project!

Well, I hope you enjoy the ones you listen to on your roadtrip. :)

And Building Jerusalem is very actively in progress. Like, I actually have a file for it open right now on my computer. I have finished the Kris-POV chapters for Part 1 and Part 2 of Book 1, and am going to do the recording for Part 3 in the next couple days. So, like... Book 1 should be done within the next month? If all goes right, and the people doing the other parts end up finishing theirs at about the speed I finish mine.

and now that I've listened to the first 2 parts of FN (I've read it about 4 times :D) I can say that you do an amazing job - you have an excellent voice and your reading speed is just right

I don't read much AI but I'm off to DL pretty much everything you've podded

Thank you so much! That's really wonderful to hear.

(I'm actually just putting the last touches on Forever Now Part 3 right now, so that'll be up very very soon.)

I hope you enjoy the AI stuff. There is one other bandom one mixed in there, too :)

Because you are wonderful? Seriously, we know you will finish, don't make this a torment. Take some breaks and some rewards for yourself, RL is likely to have enough tough things. Really, really like your Forever, Now podfics and Building Jerusalem - outstanding.

<3 Thank you.

I want to finish at least this chapter before classes start so that I can go off tomorrow feeling accomplished and ready to focus rather than distracted by having an almost-done chapter on my hands, y'know?

But it's going so slowly. I have 42 minutes of draft out of what's probably going to end up being an hour-long chapter. So my new goal is to get as much as I can done today and shoot for finishing Wednesday morning.

Anyway, I'm really happy to hear you like Building Jerusalem. We never heard much back from people about that one, and it's a story all three of us were very fond of, so I'm glad it's out there making some people happy. Or, you know, probably more like depressed and miserable, but in a good way :D

And of course I am thrilled that you're enjoying Forever, Now. Part 9 is very eventful! Have you read it, or are you hearing the story for the first time through the audio?

Oh, I am totally hearing the story first through the audio-- this isn't even one of my fandoms, yet podbooks have convinced me before to listen to a new fandom. It is also a bit like having favorite authors- if you are a favorite, I am going to listen to all of your work, convinced you are going to be an interesting performer with good taste in fiction. Building Jerusalem-- I was not familiar with it at all, and had quite a lot of heart-wrenching reactions to this first part. I immediately had to go read the fic to make sure that there was a happy ending in store-- I am very demanding that way. ;) The story is so intense, and you all are doing such a good job at it. Unfortunately, I think some WIP don't get even the interim comments they deserve just by being a partial reading: I know I have been guilty of that in the past. Good luck with all of your time juggling. <3

So excite that you'll be finishing Building Jerusalem!!! \o/ ILU, you're my favorite reader, and I apologize for not leaving an appropriate amount of gushing comments in the past. I have a tendency to dl piles of stuff at once - it might be a few weeks before I listen, and then I get all ~lazy and fail to leave comments. :/

I'm so so appreciative that you and other readers take the time to do podfic. I work long days outdoors, and share a computer at home, so it's often the only way I can get my fic fix.

TY for everything, and good luck w/grad school. :)

I'm so glad that you're enjoying them! I understand about listening to podfic away from the computer and then losing the momentum to comment. I think that's pretty common. It's fun to know people are out there listening at all, y'know? I don't mind not hearing about it often. I just watch my download numbers obsessively and pretend that everybody who listens is enjoying. :)

Building Jerusalem, oh man, I am excited to get back to it mostly because it will mean that I finally have finished Forever Now. It's a great story, though, and I'm sure it'll be a lot of fun to work on Books 2 and 3.

Thanks for the comment!

Can I just say that I'm ridiculously excited about the podfic of "This Never Happened", because I am. ridiculously. excited. I was just about to go text!shriek or chat!shriek at my only rl friend who's into bandslash (because she loves that fic too) but then I remembered she doesn't care about podfics. Neither does anyone else of my friends. ...I'll go shriek at them anyway. They should be used to it lol. My point was, I only do that when I'm ridiculously excited about something. (Which, okay, I'm ridiculously excited over bandom most of the time. But anyway!)

But like. Ridiculously excited. :D

ps, I still listen to "Forever, Now" a lot. (Currently listening to it for the 63rd time.) Because you kick ass. Js. Also, it makes great background noise and it helps me concentrate.

Your ridiculous excitement is very encouraging, thank you! I got diverted with some other projects like the Awesome Ladies Podfic Anthology, but I am back to working on TNH now. It's a very fun project, and I hope you'll like the result.

And I am so pleased to hear that Forever Now is keeping you good company. I hope that when TNH is finished, it will be able to keep you good company too ♥

Ooooh, I am so excited for This Never Happened. I read it earlier this year and loved it, and you are one of my favourite readers. *skips and jumps for joy* How long is the recorded version?
